In other mainstreamy mashup news, I did this back in 2010 sort of on a whim. I actually like the turnout and is the only version of Love Story I can really handle.. Chicane fixes everything.
Dash Berlin vs Beyonce - Waiting On Your Halo (Amplifide Vocal Smash)
I was driving down the road one day when Halo came on and I caught myself humming Dash Berlin's Waiting. I went home and listened to both songs and sure enough! They were both in the same key. So i broke out audacity and started piecing the 2 songs together. I finished and uploaded it to YouTube. Maybe a day later I started getting some nasty comments from a user accusing me of stealing the idea from someone else. I found the other guy who had a similar mashup and wrote him a message explaining the coincidence. He was cool about it and admitted that he thought someone else might have the same idea as he did. Our mashups were different enough though, so we both left ours up and that's the end of the story!

Short Walk Off A Long Pier
This is a track I started working on while experimenting with basslines. I liked the Deadmau5ish sound it had and decided to roll with the direction. It's not done yet but it's a good start!
